Important Dates:

  • Collection Period: Now through November 10th, 2024
  • Public Distribution Day:
    Saturday, November 23
    Time: 9 AM – 11 AM
Location: Drive-through at the health center (126 N 10th Street, Fort Dodge)

How It Works:

  • We collaborate with local schools to identify children in need and provide coats directly to the schools. On the public distribution day anyone who has a child in need of a coat can drive through, and our staff will provide coats directly to their vehicles based on size needs.

“It can be for a baby or a high schooler; we want any child who needs a coat to have one,” says Regina Suhrbier, Outreach Coordinator for Community Health Center of Fort Dodge.

About Coats for Kids:

Founded by Lisa Shimkat, this program has grown over the past 10 years through the partnership of local businesses and the health center, filling a vital need in our community. Let’s work together to keep our kids warm this winter! ❤️
