Community Health Center of Clarion to hold open house
CLARION – Community Health Center of Clarion will hold a public open house on Wednesday, October 2 from 4 – 6 pm. The afternoon will begin with a ribbon cutting by the Clarion Development Alliance followed by refreshments, meet and greet with staff and tours. “We’re excited to invite everyone, including local businesses and community partners, to join us for this open house,” says Renae Kruckenberg, CEO of Community Health Center of Fort Dodge. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet our dedicated staff, explore our clinic, and learn more about how we can collaborate to serve our community here in the Clarion area.”
Community Health Center of Clarion is located at 303 N Main Street in Clarion. They are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) under the umbrella of the Community Health Center of Fort Dodge. As an FQHC, they receive federal funding to provide comprehensive primary care services to underserved populations, including those in rural areas. As an FQHC they have a governing board with a majority of health center patients to ensure that community needs and perspectives are represented in decision-making. Their comprehensive services, acceptance of all patients regardless of their ability to pay and focus on quality health care accessibility to all their our most important qualities.
Currently, the Community Health Center of Clarion provides primary medical services. They plan to expand to include dental care and behavioral health services as they become fully staffed. Patients formerly served by Pamela Kelch, DDS, will not need to take additional steps to transfer their records; CHC has assumed and will manage all records from her practice.
The clinic is managed by Angie Reiland, who oversees the entire clinic staff. The clinic currently has 5 employees including Naarah Hauenstein, PA-C, Joline Palma, Medical Assistant Trainee, Dana Sanchez, Receptionist/translator and Kathy Reichter, Receptionist.
They accept most major health insurance plans, Medicare, and Medicaid, all MCO’s and offer a sliding fee scale for those who qualify. The sliding fee discount program provides an affordable payment option for the uninsured or underinsured. At the Clarion office, the front desk staff can assist with forms and proof of income to determine eligibility. For further assistance, patients can contact the financial advocate at their Fort Dodge office.
They are currently accepting patients of all ages for primary medical care. You can learn more at chcfd.com or by calling Community Health Center of Clarion at 515-532-3343.
